Safari boss at Autosport International. PRESSRELEASE
Surinder Thatthi, Chairman and Event Director of the East African Safari Classic has today confirmed that he will be at Autosport International and available to talk to any interested parties about the forthcoming event.
He will be basing himself at the Historic Motorsport Ltd. stand, number 2550 in Hall 20. This is close to the Wales Rally GB stand and to the Coy’s Historic Motor Sport auction. He will be at the Show from lunchtime on Thursday, all day Friday and Saturday and possibly some of Sunday as well before he flies back to Nairobi.
The Historic Motorsport Stand will feature one of the two Ford Escort RS that David Sutton’s company has built for their entries in the Safari Classic 2007. These two cars will be driven by two ex-World Rally Champions, Stig Blomqvist co-driven by Ana Goni, and Björn Waldegård co-driven by his son, Matthias. On the stand will be brochures and information about the Safari Classic while Surinder is there to meet interested journalists, entrants, competitors and Safari enthusiasts in general. Anyone wishing to get in touch with Surinder during his stay in England or to locate him within the Show can telephone him on +44 (0) 7909 926 526.
There will be another Safari Escort on display at the Show, this time on the Wales Rally GB stand. Mark Solloway has been approached by the WDA Motorsport Initiative to bring the car prepared by his company that Gerard Marcy drove in the Safari Classic 2005.
